Overview:
MedCare is comprised of 3 unique research projects that all seek to understand how older adults with early stage dementia and their caregivers engage in medication management, and how primary care clinicians work with this population.

MedCare Dyad Qualitative Interviews:
We are conducting 60 qualitative interviews (30 patients, 30 caregivers) to understand how patients and caregivers may or may not work together to manage multidrug medication regimens.

MedCare Clinician Qualitative Interviews:
We are interviewing 30 primary care clinicians to understand how they work with older patients with early stage dementia and other comorbidities and their family members to manage their medications.

MedCare LitCog:
We are conducting supplemental interviews with LitCog participants and their caregivers (200 patients, 200 caregivers) to understand their medication regimens and how they take and manage their multidrug regimens.
